Prof. Dr. Tashmina Matin Central Library at University of South Asia stands as a beacon of knowledge and learning which aims to become a world-class Resource Centre for Knowledge providing innovative new services and a wider collection of books and resources to the teaching, learning and research communities. Keeping with the vision and mission of the university, the Central Library was initiated in the year 2004 at Banani, Dhaka after the establishment of the university of South Asia in the year 2003 to promote knowledge through its effective dissemination of information resources. The transition from Banani to our university’s permanent campus at Amin Bazar, Dhaka the present library building was inaugurated in the year 2023 in its eco-friendly green campus. The library acts as a learning resource centre of the university to supplement education and information needs of the faculty and students. The library has been played a key role in generation, preservation and communication of knowledge for education and research of the university. It provides information services and facilities to meet the requirement of teaching, training and research programs. Physical resources of the library are managed through the integrated library management software koha. The Central Library has been adapting new technologies including library management software, library websit, 24x7 wi- fi connectivity, e-resources etc. for providing web-based information services to the library users.
